June 2018 Utah Part 3 - Helper - Central Utah

From Moab, I drove to Helper, Utah and stayed there for about 10 days.  I attended the US Women’s National Soccer Team exhibition match against China in Sandy, Utah, saw the Great Salt Lake, visited the Capitol Reef National Park, did some local hikes, and played golf.  Pictures of all of these are below:
Views from Helper – including Balance Rock on top of the mountain

Great Salt Lake – brief stay just to see it

US Women vs. China (US won 1-0 on a goal by Alex Morgan)

Golf at Carbon Country Club in Helper, Utah – nice course and only $25 to walk.

Hike to Gordon Creek Waterfalls

Hike in Price Canyon Recreation Area (elevation over 8,000 ft.)

Capitol Reef National Park – I hiked the Capitol Gorge trail, the Grand Wash trail, and the Hickman Bridge trail.

That is all from Utah.  I am off to Wyoming for the next post...

  2. World traveler. I am relaxing at home on July 4. Wish I did not have to go to work tomorrow. That is life! I liked Wyoming when I was there. 30 years ago. Nick

  3. My golf game is about the same - hit and miss. I did have the best round of my life when I played in Idaho. See the Wyoming Part 1 post for details!
