July 2018 Washington state - Part 2

Upon arriving in Bremerton, I drove to Olympic National Park, in the northeast corner of Washington state.  Here are some pictures.
Olympic National Park (in the first picture, Canada is across the water)

Looking over to Canada (British Columbia)

Short hike at Hurricane Ridge

Ferry ride to Seattle

Seattle adventures

Pike Place Market

I ate at Lowells in Pike Place Market (great place), it is next door to the Athenian Restaurant (which was featured in Sleepless in Seattle – and NOT recommended by the locals)

Seattle Sounders (MLS) game at Seahawks Stadium – scalped a ticket for $20 right before the game

There was a festival the weekend I was there with live music and lots of food - Apparently warthogs are plentiful around these parts.....

This place was near the house I stayed in

I went to the Puget Sound Navy Museum – learned about Lt. General Robert Richardson during WW II

I also went to the Naval Undersea Museum – fascinating place – learned about Navy dolphins and sea lions

Played golf at Gold Mountain – Cascades course ($21 to walk – great deal) in Bremerton

Next, I am headed to Oregon, first Portland for a few days and then southern Oregon.
