Our first stop in San Diego was the Cabrillo National Monument on Loma Point near the Naval Base. There are tide pools there at low tide where you can see fish, crabs and other interesting creatures. There was also a nice hike there along the coast.

After that we went to Coronado Island to see the sunset and the Del Coronado Hotel.
That was our first day in San Diego. Our second day is next.
Oh my gosh the tide pools are so cool! Love that there are different color crabs. Nice pictures of the area. Hey, are you going to see redwood and sequoia trees on your travels?
