This post will cover our next 2 days in LA. First we went to a taping of Jeopardy for 2 full shows at the Sony Studios. Jeopardy tapes 5 shows in one day (a full week's worth) and there are 2 separate sets of studio audiences. We were in the morning taping and saw 2 shows. It was Ken Jennings' birthday on the day we went so we sang to him. Rob also got to ask him a question during a break in the taping. He is very personable and likable and seemed to be having a good time. They did not allow any photography in the studio where the taping happened, but we got a few pictures just outside. The two episodes we saw being recorded will be on the air on July 15 and July 16.
That was it for that day. The next day we decided to ride the LA light rail system (which was very close to our airbnb) to the Santa Monica Pier and rent bikes for a bike ride. We rode up to Pacific Palisades to the north and to Venice Beach to the south.
Here are the Venice canals in Venice, CA.
That is all from LA. Our next stop is Ventura, CA and a visit to the Channel Islands National Park.
That looks so fun! I bet you and Rob would be great contestants on Jeopardy!
