On our way from San Diego to Los Angeles, we stopped in Oceanside, CA to see Carolyn's friend Joan (who moved there from Reston). We had a nice visit with Joan and her son at the Oceanside Pier.
And we saw the house used in the original Top Gun movie across from the pier.
After that, we arrived in Los Angeles and went to Hollywood Boulevard. We saw some of the stars on the Hollywood walk of Fame and the Dolby Theater (where the Oscar ceremony is held).
