June 2024 - Washington - Stop 35 - Bremerton

After our visit to Mt. Rainier National Park, we drove to Bremerton for a 1 night stay and visited Seattle by ferry for a day.  We stopped at the state Capitol building in Olympia on the way.  Here are some pictures from Olympia.

We met Miss Washington (competing in Miss USA) who happened to be walking through the Capitol.

More pictures from the Capitol building.

We drove to Bremerton for an overnight stay and then went to Seattle by ferry the next day.

We visited the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and then rode the ferry back to Bremerton.

From Bremerton, we left the next morning to visit Olympic National Park.

June 2024 - Washington - Stop 34 - Mt. Rainier National Park

Our first day in Mt. Rainier National Park, we did a short hike at Narada Falls and stopped at a couple of overlooks.

After that, we drove to Paradise Point visitor center,  From there we did a hike on the snow (in mid-June).

At Paradise Point, we saw a deer and a marmot.

We drove to our campground at La Wis Wis south of the park for our overnight stay.

The next day, we hiked the Silver Falls trail in the southern part of the park.

Then we drove back to Paradise Point and stayed in the Paradise Inn lodge there.

We did one more snow hike from Paradise Point in the afternoon, and then saw a beautiful sunset.

The next day, we hiked the Carter Falls hike before we left the park.

That's all from Mt. Rainier, our next stop is Bremerton, WA, with a stop in Olympia, the capital of Washington.
