From Omaha, I drove to Rapid City, SD. That is about 20 miles from Mt. Rushmore so I
played golf in Rapid City and visited Mt. Rushmore.
I visited Mt. Rushmore in the evening my first
day in Rapid City. It was very cloudy
and overcast. Here are some pictures.
I went back to Mt. Rushmore the second day in the
morning and got some great pictures. I
also did the hike up to the base of the incredible sculpture.
The sculptor of Mt. Rushmore is Gutzon
Borglum. Here is a sculpture of him.
I played golf at the Elks Golf Course in Rapid
City and had a very good round.
